Law Enforcement

East Valley Institute of Technology

EVIT's Law Enforcement Program operates like a police academy and prepares students for careers in the criminal justice system.

Upon completion of the program, students will qualify for direct entry into many positions as well as advancement towards training in college level criminal justice.

What do Law Enforcement Officers do?

Police officers and deputy sheriffs maintain order by acting as first responders to emergencies, investigating crimes, and performing community outreach.

In addition to patrol duties, police officers can join special units such as SWAT, special operations, K9, motor units, narcotics, investigations, impact teams and crime scene investigations.
