In the first year, there is an overview of basic fundamentals of fire science and a complete overview of the EMT program.
Second year students will gain valuable experience through field trips, demonstrations, and physical training activities. There is an extensive bookwork in the firefighting program. There is an emphasis on team building and preparation for students to be successful in college.
Hands on training is emphasized -- opportunities on fire trucks, using the same type of equipment as the local fire academies, including live fire training
