Adult Education at the East Valley Institute of Technology is a new program designed for adults who need additional skills to enter an occupation or want to increase skills and earnings in their current job.

  • An adult student is anyone who has graduated from high school, has received a GED or has reached 22 years of age.
  • Adult classes are available mornings, afternoons or evenings.
  • Arizona businesses look at EVIT to provide techincal training in high-skill, high-demand fields.
  • Financial assistance, scholarships and payment plans are available.
  • G.I. Bill can be used toward all classes.
  • Community college credit is available in some classes.

    Five Easy Steps to Getting Started at EVIT

    1. Meet with a Career Advisor
      Call (480) 461-4028 or 461-4027 to make an appointment. Walk-in appointments are also available.
    2. Complete the Student Application Forms. Applications and financial aid forms are available in Continuing Education Office.
    3. Pay your Tuition and Fees. You can pay your tuition and fees in Continuing Education office.

    What is EVIT?

    The East Valley Institute of Technology (EVIT) is Arizona's first Joint Technical Education District (JTED). All programs at EVIT are occupation-specific and taught by industry-experienced professionals using state-of-the-art equipment.

    Our mission, at EVIT, is to provide a productive, technically trained workforce to meet meet the market-driven needs of business and industry.

    EVIT maintains partnerships with business and industry throughout the East Valley to ensure that all training programs provide students with job skills necessary for employment.

    At EVIT, students learn in a working environment while developing a broad range of skills essential of successful living. Through career planning, skill instruction, related academics, leadership training, workplace experiences, and employment readiness. EVIT students are prepared to take their place in their workforce and/or continue their education.
